This traveling exhibition opened in late May. It was originally organized by the ICA Boston and is being co-presented by LACMA and the California African American Museum. It is the first comprehensive display of this celebrated artist’s complex and emotionally moving work. Learn more.

New Acquisitions to the Rifkind Center

This installation opened in May and will be an ongoing exhibition at LACMA for the foreseeable future. The Rifkind Center for German Expressionist Studies has curated this incredible collection, focused on prints and drawings produced in the German-speaking cultures of Europe from the early 20th Century. Through October 6, 2024

This comprehensive, cross-media retrospective spans over 20 years of Ed Ruscha’s career as a visionary artist. His work combines classic Americana mixed with modern consumer culture and urban concepts. Learn more.

Dining with the Sultan: The Fine Art of Feasting
Through August 4, 2024

This summer will be your last opportunity to see this exhibition at LACMA. It includes more than 250 works of art related to cooking, serving and eating food—from all across the globe. It provides a unique cultural perspective of how different parts of the world relate to food. Learn more.

Painting in the River of Angels: Judy Baca and The Great Wall

This is another LACMA installation ending soon. It focuses on the inspiration of Judy Baca. She helped expand The Great Wall of Los Angeles into modernity, along with fellow artists from the Social and Public Art Resource Center. Magdalena Suarez Frimkiss: The Finest Disregard
