It’s no secret we are passionate about art and we are proud supporters of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. There is always something new and fascinating to see when you visit LACMA. Of course, their full-time collection of works is worth visiting any time. In addition, they have special exhibitions throughout the year. Here are some of the incredible collections they will have open for the summer of 2023:

Another World: The Transcendental Painting Group, 1938-1945
Through June 19

You will want to hurry to catch this exhibition at the Resnick Pavilion. It is only up through this weekend. It features a collection from a group of abstract artists from New Mexico who formed the Transcendental Painting Group in 1938. This is the first traveling exhibition dedicated to this group’s work. What Would You Say?: Activist Graphics from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Through June 24

Explore the intersection between inventive design concepts and California’s rabid political activism. Light, Space, Surface: Selections from LACMA’s Collection
Through October 1

This collection explores the art of light and space by displaying works with highly polished surfaces. This artistic trend is also known as “finish fetish,” and came to life in Southern California during the 1960s and 1970s. This exhibition features pieces from many different artists from this time period, as well as modern artists using similar techniques with a variety of industrial media. Learn more.

Artist Selects: Silke Otto-Knapp, The Living We Are Doing, Always Among Others

This exhibition is the first in a series of exchanges between modern artists and LACMA’s Rifkind Center for German Expressionist Studies. Silke Otto-Knapp is a German artist based in Los Angeles.
