If you couldn’t tell from our last couple of HD Group Blogs, we are really in the Halloween spirit. In Greg’s opinion, this is the best holiday of the year. Living in Los Angeles offers so many fun things to do. We already featured Carved at Descanso Gardens and two incredible classic horror film and live music experiences in LA. Here are a few more local Halloween traditions and new events you can enjoy with your friends or family:
Los Angeles Haunted Hayride
Griffith Park • Through October 31
This annual Halloween tradition is something you have to experience at least once, and it gets bigger and better every year. This year promises to be scarier than ever as you explore the haunted Midnight Falls foothills in Griffith Park. The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride has already been happening the past few weekends, but will be open every night from now through Halloween. Be sure and get your tickets as soon as possible. Haunt O’Ween
Woodland Hills • Through October 31
This month-long Halloween celebration is an immersive holiday experience designed for the whole family to enjoy. Over 200,000 square feet of space has been covered in 35,000 pumpkins and spooky Halloween décor. Kids can go trick-or-treating in the Haunt O’Ween town. There are many games, rides, face painting, food and drinks. It takes about 45-60 minutes to check out the entire space, but you are welcome to stay for as long as you want. Nights of the Jack
Calabasas • Through October 31
Tour through the Santa Monica Mountains and see thousands of hand-carved jack-o-lanterns. This display is designed to be spooky, but never scary. It’s a great event for younger kids to come and be sure to dress up. There will be plenty of treats available with some of LA’s best food trucks out serving their great food. The adults will love the Spookeasy bar, which will be serving craft beer, wine, cider and spirits. Learn more and buy tickets.
House of Spirits: A Haunted Soiree
Los Angeles • October 27-31
