The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) was founded in 2002, with the Southern California chapter forming just a couple years later. The local SoCal ICAA has since become one of the country’s most active regional chapters with many great educational programs, events and architectural tours.

We have always been passionate about arts and architecture. Design plays a major role in our real estate influence, the luxury communities we serve and our daily lives. We have personal and business partnerships with some of the leading designers. Tim is married to Mark Liddell and Greg is married to Todd Nickey of Nickey Kehoe. The ICAA Southern California is an organization that resonates with our own passion for design.

About the ICAA

The mission of the ICAA is to “advance the practice and appreciation of the classical traditional in architecture, urbanism, and the allied arts.” We have been longtime supporters of the local chapter and have taken part in a lot of the activities they have to offer. We are both passionate about architecture, design, arts and culture—as are many of The Durkovic Group’s real estate clients—so involvement with the ICAA makes perfect sense.

The ICAA Southern California offers a wide variety of educational programs and events, reflecting the diversity of this region. You can attend lectures and presentations from prominent speakers with different fields of expertise. You can take part in studio and field drawing classes for architectural and interior design professionals.

The New Heights Program

The ICAA created the New Heights Program to introduce younger artists and students to the ideas and techniques behind classical architecture design. They even provide scholarships for aspiring students in the United States and abroad.
